So I started thinking about a recent response from Pope Francis on the ABC interview last Friday night. He talked to many people about their problems and gave them a message of hope. But something he said to a young man has stuck in my mind, "All of us bear responsibility for everyone else."
This got me thinking about what I consider my responsibilities as a person, and also as a Christian. I started to wonder how I could REALLY be held responsible for everyone. I am just a small town girl... living in a lonely world. Haha! But no, really, I am from Arkansas and it would be hard for me to reach and teach everyone. It is really hard for me to imagine even feeling responsible for the rest of the people in Arkansas.... And then it hit me!! The internet is like the fastest way to spread information!!
I hope that through this blog, along with the speed and depth of the internet, I can fulfill some of my responsibilities and spread the Good News. I decided to call this blog Rejoice and Be Glad because that is a message from one of my favorite Bible verses. (Psalm 118:24) Posting at least once a week is my goal. I hope that this can make a difference in at least one person's life.
